A peek into...
The World of Interiors, July 2023
We love escaping into a magazine, finding a beautiful interior, and looking up to find our versions of those pieces right here in the shop. This stunning shot is a home in Mallorca designed by Egyptian architect, Hassan Fathy.
He is known for creating community-centred housing that all at once evoked beauty, honoured traditional building techniques that are inherently climate beneficial and was accessible to all.
A staple in the shop, we’re always on the lookout for these. Deeply unique with so much character. They move around the house from display on the shelf, to holding a big bunch of peonies in the spring, to bringing water to the dining table.
Timeless and warm, this classic fits into any setting. This splatter-style bowl pops up in so many reference images for us in magazines from any era to Georgia O’Keeffe’s home, to the Loewe store in Paris.
Made on Salt Spring Island from stone collected from riverbeds on Vancouver Island. The perfect size to make pestos, dressings or zhoug.
We always have these perfect stools in stock. They fit beautifully into any home and are endlessly useful. Sturdy enough to stand on, sit on or use as a side table.
Our ultimate kitchen staple. These beautiful spoons are hand-carved in the Cowichan Valley from locally sourced Apple, Pear or Cherry branches. We use them to cook any meal in the kitchen, toss a salad or serve roast veggies.
