A collaboration between rhubarb and one of our favourite makers, Harumi Ota. He reinterpreted our logo on his classic serving pieces. The plate is perfect for a slice of toast, a pile of cut fruit or a side of veggies.

Seeing these pieces go from the spark of an idea to a shared expression was something else. 

Size and colour may slightly vary as each piece is hand-built and hand-glazed.

Harumi Ota is a ceramic artist based in Victoria, BC. His work — which ranges from the functional to the sculptural — is characterized by a blend of traditional Japanese designs and his own, unique, nature-inspired style. Harumi studied art at the Kutani Ceramic Technical Training Centre in Nomi, Japan, before moving to Canada in 1997. He has exhibited work in Japan, New Zealand, the United States, and Canada. Currently, he sells ceramics year-round out of his home studio and during the summers at the Moss Street Market.
